hmm, i hope this can help, it's kinda similar to the last trick you were talking about

1. assuming you already have the drawing you want to be on the bottom ready, make a new page and draw what you want to be on the top
2. do the outline silouhette trick with the new drawing, on a seperate page preferably
3. invert both layers of drawing you want to be on the bottom and paste the silouhette of whatever you want on top over it
4. invert the layers of the bottom drawing again, copy the original top drawing and paste it over it
