AnimationsEdit]Its been 7 years ever since I released “Drink Tea” the story behind making this was for me entering in a film contest in my local area where I was living at the time, and the prize was $500USD. Unfortunately I didnt win the contest but it made learn to improve not just as an animator, but a story teller too7/30/25
I’m surprised and thankful that “Drink Tea” is still on features, it’s still getting view by the next generation of Flipnotes.
Even tho during my time, making smooth animations was considered being “COOL” and getting notice a bit more but after not winning the $500USD prize in the film contest, I learned one thing out of it. I learned that being smooth at animating is not everything. It’s about “How can I get my audience attention?” “What good story can I create for my audience?” “How can I make something good from an old limited outdated software on my Dsi (Flipnote Studios/うごくメモ帳) and sending it on to the big screen?”
Animation doesn’t have to be very smooth. It can go from 1 frame. To the next 5 or 10 frames and it’ll still look pretty cool.
If I can go back 7 years ago and tell my old self during that time with the knowledge I have now, I would’ve won that $500USD prize lmao . But can’t change the past. Thank you Mr Burk for keeping “Drink Tea relevant in today’s modern day
It's really cool to learn the story behind this Flipnote. I hope to see more creations from you in the future!
Thank you Mr Burk for making “Drink Tea” Relevant in Features in today’s modern day. Hope that the next Generation of Flipnoters world wide can do a better job than what I did.
