Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly Newsletter and Weekly Topic competition.
We had a great response to last week's topic The Mouth, and a selection of our favorite winning entries are coming up.
But first, if you're thinking about making a topic Flipnote, don't forget to check out next week's topic theme and it's description, as well as the subsequent Upcoming Topics listed at the end of the Newsletter.
Also, don't miss the links in the topic description for inspiration and further information on the theme (Access these links through the Sudomemo Theater online site).
And now, here are the winning Flipnotes from last week's topic "The Mouth". Well done to everybody who entered.
Our first topic winning selection this week, by ⒷIⒷⒷⒶ stars the enormous mouth of Kirby.
It’s so big in fact, that it manages to swallow an entire traffic cone in one colossal gulp!
But if enjoying this hilarious new game function wasn’t enough, we positively leapt out of our seats at the totally unexpected jump-scare Flipnote ending!
Our next topic winner, by Lola.lpcm is a jaunty, mouth inspired MV that’ll really get your toes a-tapping!
Featuring singing lip-synch animation, mixed in with the written word, it zips along with a great sense of movement, rhythm, and composition.
Why not sing along. We couldn’t resist!
fabrixio:D has quite an unusual problem with his sister!
Whenever he opens his mouth, she puts her fingers in it! “Chuckle”
This must be terribly disconcerting, and extremely irritating. “Giggle”
Especially when you’re having a good yawn! “Helpless laughter!”
But seriously. Watch this excellent, topic winning Flipnote, and you’ll see exactly what we mean.
.A spectacular set of monstrous jaws snap open and shut, in this weekly topic winner by Traumid!1!
Complete with salivating tongue and toothy glint, it captures the fiendish energy of a beastial foe just beautifully.
Focusing purely on the shape of the mouth, Goodi⬆⬇ has created this fantastic animation of drinking through a straw.
We especially loved the lip-smacking, and super-refreshed gasp that followed.
It must have been a very tasty drink!
This guy’s mouth can open really, really wide!
Check it out, and enjoy the accompanying zany sound effects of this winning entry by Adam.
Say “Aaaaaaaaaa!”
This week’s topic is planets.
Here’s a summary of planets to inspire you for your Topic Flipnote creating:
We live on the planet Earth, in a solar system of eight planets orbiting the sun (A yellow dwarf star).
Our planet is third from the sun. The others are known as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
All of these planets are composed of different elements, have different atmospheres, and have varying temperatures (depending on their distance from the sun).
But only Earth has the capacity to support life!
This topic could be about any aspect of planets you choose;
How big they are, what they’re made of, their inhabitants (Alien or otherwise), their moons, their rings, exploration of them, or whatever else you like.
Here’s a list of some interesting facts about planets in our solar system:
Mercury is the smallest, and closest planet to the sun. It also has the fastest orbit (47 km per second).
71% of the Earth’s surface is covered by water.
Mars is known as the red planet!
Jupiter is by far the biggest planet in our solar system(2.5 times bigger than the mass of all the others put together).
Saturn is distinguished by its extensive ring system.
Pluto is no longer counted as a planet. It was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006.
We hope you found them interesting, and inspirational for a Planet topic Flipnote.

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.
Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Planets and the deadline for your entries is February 27th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).
Also, we would encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.
And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.
Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
