Now, here are the prize winning Flipnotes from the competition "FFC: Superhero Showdown".
Based upon our scoring criteria, we had two winners tie for second place, so both second place winners will get the same prize!
Well done to everyone who entered.
Hyun: "I loved this part and I think it had the most superhero vibes compared to the others. Everything about this animation was very well done, polished, and I had a lot of fun just watching through all the crazy superhero moments."
Oxob: "Overall a good animation with nice choreography, effects, and movements. And the one that felt the most finished and complete, which I think is commendable, not going too over-ambitious in order to finish in time."
Sopple: "I am always a sucker for action-packed stickman fights, and the unique sequence here has him going to the moon, combined with an excellent understanding of animation, anticipation, and special fx."
Hatena360: “A very classic style for a flipnote fight, and delivered well. I think some of the movement came across as pretty stiff but was overall enjoyable. The final bit of the Flipnote was probably my favorite with the fluid rock smash and messing with the letters in the fight, just plain fun!”
For placing first, Arancia has won 1 year of Sudomemo Plus and a Bailey Flitwing Ticket!
Hero vs Nightmare Pt.1 by Ninry
Hyun: "This animation was extremely impressive with showing the scale of the vines in the backgrounds. The style of the stick figures, and the added bonus of the closeups was a very good touch. Even though it wasn't finished, it was still very impressive and made me want more!"
Oxob: "This would have been my favorite if it was finished. Great effects, angles, movements, and even facial expressions. Crazy what people can make with Flipnote."
Yunero: "Ninry is a veteran animator from the old Hatena days, and it’s great to see him still be amazing at the craft. They sync the music to go with the fight, and add detail like the vines in the background."
Hatena360: “This one gives me major BosS vibes, especially with his new stuff. I wish this was longer as I can tell they wanted to do so much more but they were able to deliver so much dynamic movement in such a short period of time.”
Sopple: “The use and mastery of effects in this one, specifically with the plant-like structures, is what really caught my attention with this entry. I think the only thing it is lacking is a proper ending, but overall this is a beautiful animation that is worthy of a lot of praise.”
For placing second, Ninry has won 6 months of Sudomemo Plus and a Lazy Paisley Ticket!
Flipnote by MⒶZOkidox by MⒶZOkidox
Hyun: "The unique style of this animation was really impressive and I loved the smooth movements of both the characters, the explosion, and all the effects. Breaking the 4th wall in the animation was also a really cool touch! Just wish you could've finished a little more of the fight at the end."
Oxob: "Super smooth, nice effects, great angles, and some creative concepts with the 4th wall break. Overall great! Just ended very abruptly and felt unfinished."
Yunero: "This stick fight is beautifully crafted and flows extremely well, from the smoke that has to be animated frame by frame to the super cool angles. My favorite part is when they start utilizing the 4th wall."
Hatena360: “Call me a sucker for Flipnotes but I love breaking the fourth wall and interacting with the Flipnote UI. A unique power for sure but different from any other Flipnote stick fight I’ve seen thus far. Love the cloth animation as well!”
Sopple: “The fluidity of this entry’s effects, combined with the creativity as well as the extra attention to detail in clothing and adding mass to the stickmen, makes this one gold for me.”
For the second-place tie, MⒶZOkidox has also won 6 months of Sudomemo Plus and a Lazy Paisley Ticket!
Acro vs many by Acro
Yunero: "To see a limited software like flipnote have their animators make their own V-CAM methods is amazing. A lot of other good stick fights on flipnote have it, but this one for the FFC uses it quite nicely. Not to mention the style and movements are well animated."For placing third, Acro has won 3 months of Sudomemo Plus.

For placing fourth, Dermor~ has also won 3 months of Sudomemo Plus.
