But first, if you're thinking about making a topic Flipnote, don't forget to check out next week's topic theme and its description, as well as the upcoming Topics listed at the end of the Newsletter.
And now, here are the winning Flipnotes from last week's topic "Godzilla". Well done to everybody who entered.
In our first topic winning selection this week, Godzilla is back!............In this impressive monster-mash MV by Marie-Ange.
After a dark and foreboding introduction to Godzilla and his monstrous foes, it then leaps into action with a foot stomping, city destroying musical number, that culminates surprisingly in the joyful reunion of old friends.
Even as a baby, Godzilla was undeniably King Of The Monsters, as we see in our next topic winning selection by Idkguy.
His colossal Roar-Tantrum shakes the camera so much that he actually leaves the screen altogether, not to mention pixelating and fragmenting as his awesome temper is unleashed.
But wait! Here comes Monster Zero to calm things down.
Hmmm, this could get ugly!
This fantastic Flipnote picture by Mirage features Godzilla about to lay waste to an entire city.
A helicopter watches from dangerously nearby, but what hope does it have in the face of his tyrannical onslaught?
“Everybody, run for your lives!”
The running man sample Flipnote is given a hilarious Godzilla spin in this winning topic entry by はるさめ.
And guess who the guy being kicked has been spun into!
That’s right, it’s Monster Zero!
Godzilla triumphs again! “Giggle”
We really enjoyed this fire breathing Godzilla Flip-Pic by SmearyToon.
The cartoon style works brilliantly with this monster, using a subtle incline into the roar, and a stylized burst of fire to great effect.
Very nicely done!
An extremely mean looking Godzilla vents his atomic breath on a hapless stickman victim, in this splendid topic winner by Thomas1651.
This week's topic is Bingo!
(Note: This topic could also include Lotto, and The National Lottery, as they are similar to the game of Bingo.)
Bingo can be a hugely fun and exciting game. Especially if you win!
The comparer pulls numbered balls from of a spinning drum, and then calls them out to the Bingo room.
The players cross off the numbers on their Bingo cards, hoping to get a Line, a Full-House, or other combinations. And when there’s a winner, they shout “Bingo”, and the rest of the room groans in disappointment. “Chuckle”
Your Flipnotes could be about any aspect of Bingo that you like; The luck of the game, winners and losers, the glamour and glitz that surrounds it, or even the Bingo balls themselves.
To add zest to the drawing of the balls, the numbers have even been given names for when they are called out.
Here’s a few of our favorites:
Cup of tea, number three / Garden gate, number eight / Two little ducks, twenty two / Clickety Click, sixty six / Two fat ladies, eighty eight.
Why not make a Flipnote involving this number inspired bingo jargon. That could be fun.
But, however you decide to interpret this topic, we hope you get a full house.
It’s Bingo time!
Have fun!
. We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.
Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Bingo and the deadline for your entries is July 17th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).
We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.
And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.
Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
