Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly Newsletter and Weekly Topic competition.
We had a great response to last week's topic “Christmas 2024”, and a selection of our favorite winning entries are coming up.
But first a reminder about this year's Sudomemo Rewind.
You'll all be excited to hear that Sudomemo Rewind is coming out on December 31st (At 9.00p.m. EST).
Sudomemo Rewind is a look back over the events and developments of this year on Sudomemo, along with interviews of some of the most popular creators. It also features a top 50 countdown of the most popular flipnotes.
Posted as a video on YouTube, it’s a great re-cap for all Sudomemo enthusiasts and creators, and is hugely informative, entertaining and fun to watch.
So whatever you do, don't miss it!
And next, a word about our ongoing fund raising activities.
We're still trying to raise more cash this month for additional Sudomemo expenditures.
If you would like to make a donation then Sudomemo Patreon is the way to go! It will really help with the upkeep and running of Sudomemo, and there’s loads of special rewards to enjoy.

And now, here are the winning Flipnotes from last week's topic "Christmas 2024".
Well done to everyone who entered.
In this topic winning Flipnote by CosmicGAZ a hazardous lighting decision turns a Christmas tree into a Yuletide rocket!
But is it the disaster that it seems?
A cleverly conceived cartoon comedy skit, it delivers on all fronts, and is chock-a-block with stylish character animation, peppy voice acting, and a ‘Christmas Miracle’ punchline that had us rolling about with laughter.
Our next spectacular Topic winning entry by [Will$ten] stars a slew of both Sudomemo mascots, and classic Flipnote characters in a rip-roaring Christmas celebration MV.
The precise, fine-line animation is not only smooth, colorful, and expressive, but perfectly in time, in its action and editing, to a super catchy sound track.
Some overzealous snow shoveling puts an end to a cosy night by the fireside in this hilarious Topic winner by RandomOmi.
Beautifully drawn and detailed, the Loony Tunes audio scored slapstick builds one hysterical snow dumping gag upon another. The last one, turning the protagonist into a wicked comedy Snowman!
The gift of Christmas burst free in this strongly posed, superb pixel figure animation by Pao!.
A surprise telephone call brings a festive “Hurrah” to a complete standstill in this Topic winning Christmas crack-up created by InstNuggo.
Santa’s sleigh ride is brought wonderfully to life, when PC IronEren takes up the reins in this magical Christmas MV.
As we celebrate the start of a New Year, we can look back at the year just gone.
What was it that made the biggest impression on you in 2024?
Was it a world news event, a new fashion or craze, your favorite media, product release, or popular pastime? Or it could also be what’s been happening with Flipnotes this year, here on Sudomemo, including favorites, and personal posts.
Your Topic entries could be inspired by the year 2024 in any way you like. Why not try a montage, a pictorial display, or an MV to showcase your creativity.
Whatever you decide, celebrate the year just gone, by starting a Topic entry today!
We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.
Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - 2024 The Year Just Gone and the deadline for your entries is January the 5th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).
We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.
And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.
Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
