We’d like to let all you budding stick figure fighting enthusiasts know that the Sudomemo FFC Flipnote Fighting Competition has been extended for a second week.
(New deadline: Saturday, October 28th at 10 PM Eastern)
This competition will continue to take the place of the weekly Topic, after which the topics will resume as before, re-starting with “Halloween” on the 29th of October, followed by “The Moon” for the following week, and so on.

Organized by Sudomemo in collaboration with Hyun's Dojo, this is your opportunity to manifest your superhero (or supervillain) ambitions in stick fight animations!
Whether it's with capes, shields, or energy beams, gear up for this contest. The mightier and more spectacular the showdown, the higher the stakes!

Our esteemed judges are primed and eager to be captivated by your ingenious Stick Fight interpretations of legendary hero battles.

"Guidelines"
1. Emphasis on smooth and anticipatory animation.
2. Be creative and original with your superhero ideas.
3. Strive for impressive and satisfying effects.
4. Continuous action that flows seamlessly between movements.
5. Logical resizing of stick figures.
6. Replicate realistic human actions when apt.
7. Create animations that are clear for the audience.
8. Sync action sequences with music rhythms, if using music.
9. Maintain consistency with the positioning of left and right limbs.
10. Avoid common beginner mistakes such as omitted body segments or implausible movements.

Next, here’s a reminder about the exciting opportunity to become a Sudomemo Staff Volunteer.
Sudomemo Staff Volunteers Wanted
We are seeking new volunteer staff in order to continue improving Sudomemo and serving the community!
- Character Designer: You will be tasked with character design, including things like personality, reference sheets, as well as creating bespoke art of characters performing certain tasks (e.g speaking, drawing, instructing, playing) to assist and encourage Sudomemo users. We are looking for very cute and simple styles in order to make the characters easy to draw and maintainable. You must be able to provide digital art files; experience in both pixel art and higher-res vector/raster art is desired. Please provide a portfolio.
- Localization Manager: You will work with our team of volunteer translators on a weekly basis to ensure that things are kept up-to-date and consistent in meaning. Some experience with Git/GitHub is necessary.
- Video Editors/Creators: We are looking for people who can create custom content for our YouTube channel in order to further engage users. Motion graphics, polished transitions, and deadline adherence are things we're looking for. Some of the content we'd like to produce includes site updates, event announcements/results, tutorials, and advertising material that adheres to our branding. Please provide a portfolio.
- Help Center Writer: You will both write articles upon request and identify where existing articles may need to be updated; or where a new article might be useful. Deadline adherence is important. You should be able to adopt our existing writing voice in order to integrate new content seamlessly. Graphic design ability is a plus.
