If you download the audio there’s two versions of the track I made for you, one with and without the compressor with the reverb turned down a bit. One might sound a bit clearer and a more "punchy" kick.
Yeah, it’s a cowbell one shot with added reverb sampled from a Memphis track from maybe the late 80s and some added distortion. After that some 8 bars the melody loses its reverb a bit and and the beat fades in. Then I play the melody hitting each note a bit shorter with some heavy 808s with the compressor turned up a bit to give a bit of a boom.
