Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "The Peacock"

Our first topic winning selection this week, by mrjohn is made using the DSi camera in a particularly interesting and ingenious way.

By drawing eye-spot feather designs onto a photograph in Graffiti, and then rotating it in the mirror function as a moving series of Flipnote imports, he has created a dual layer, kaleidoscopic effect for a beautiful and highly intricate animated peacock illustration.

Accompanied by Zen-like tranquil music, it plays wonderfully as a loop, and is finished with rhythmic bursts of light and a twinkle in the peacock’s eye.

The effectiveness of a peacock’s plumage upon that of a humble pigeon is the subject of our next topic winner by Gummi☆.

The colorful peacock display is achieved using numerous paintbrush combinations on the blue and red layers. And animated skillfully with fanning out the tail feathers, a flaunting pose, and a fluttering of the eyes.

We were very impressed indeed………….Even if the pigeon wasn’t! “Chuckle”

Yo!!!

The crazy Bird-Up phenomenon that rocked Sudomemo to its very core, comes to us now in spectacular peacock fashion as this topic winning Flipnote by ⒷIⒷⒷⒶ.

The new peacock players in its glorious absurdity enjoy flute music, pecking at bird seed, and showing each other their tail feathers whenever they can.

That’s a big Peacock-Bird-Up from all of us down at Sudomemo Topic headquarters.

A fussy peacock turns its beak up at a handful of seeds in this Weekly Topic entry by JoseFigueC.

Beautifully drawn, colored and shaded, the topic character includes every detail of the bird plumage and feathering, this time with the tail in the downwards position.

That’s another fantastic OC to add to Jose’s collection!

There’s outright confusion regarding a pet peacock in this hilarious winning topic entry by suprjustin.

With excellent voice acting and thought bubble use, the punchline hits home nicely, as does the frustration of the unfortunate peacock!

The snooty countenance of an arrogant peacock is captured perfectly in this cool Flipnote picture by ninji DVD.

After all, when a bird is so obsessed with how it looks, it could very well be prone to vanity.

Whoops!

It seems that the rules of etiquette have been outrageously broken in this topic winning entry by Tens dⓇⒶwツ.

Someone’s made the unforgivable faux pas of bringing a peacock to the party!

Take a moment to consider the peacock in nature’s wondrous scheme of things.

Larry has! And he makes some very persuasive points on the subject in this winning evaluation of our topic bird.

This Weeks Topic - "Floaty"

This topic would include anything that floats, drifts, hovers or glides, in the air, on water, in space, or anywhere else you can think of.

From a feather, a cloud, or a bubble, to an idea, or even just a floaty thought, there’s lots of possibilities to choose from.

How about a levitation, or an object of no weight!

It could be huge fun to animate all sorts of floaty things in many different ways.

Why not show us with a floaty Flipnote and start drifting an entry into this topic today.

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Floaty and the deadline for your entries is November the 27th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
