Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly Newsletter and Weekly Topic competition.
We had a great response to last week's topic “Lava Lamps”, and a selection of our favorite winning entries are coming up.
But first, we'd like to remind you of our ongoing fund raising activities.
We are still trying to raise more dollars this month for additional Sudomemo expenditures, and would be extremely appreciative for any donations we receive.
Here's the link to our Sudomemo Patreon site:

If you're thinking about making a topic Flipnote, don't forget to check out next week's topic theme and description, with ideas and inspiration to get you started, as well as the upcoming Topics listed at the end of the Newsletter.
And now, here are the winning Flipnotes from last week's topic "Lava Lamps".
Well done to everyone who entered.
Gaze has come up with a genius money making scheme to make authentic lava lamps using real lava, in this perilous Topic winning Flipnote by CosmicGAZ.
Glance, however, is less than convinced!
And as they await their first volcanic delivery, could the whole idea prove too hot to handle?
A wildly flowing lava lamp elicits genuine concern in this laid back comedy scenario created by Coliwogg.
But surely a beverage is not to blame for the lamp's extreme behavior!
Let’s all take a look inside!
Constructing a 2 color lava lamp with the melted wax as solid red, Kêithkash★ animates the flowing forms wonderfully as they plume and rise away from the heat of the bulb.
Very nicely done!
A beautifully moving mathmos makes a most unexpected transformation in our next winning Topic entry by Watson inc.
Animating at speed 7, captures the subtle undulations of the wax blob perfectly as it floats up through the liquid, before sinking back down for a startling gamer-punchline!
An in depth investigation determines the mysterious contents of a lava lamp in this hilariously informative Weekly Topic winner by kingwink.
We were positively fascinated!
Although that lamp has almost certainly had its day!
An altogether different determination of what’s inside a lava lamp comes to light in this characterful, and super gross-out animated reveal by 😑derphead😑.
We’ll never look at a cue-tip in quite the same way again!
This Topic would include anything that is springy, like coiled springs’ or elastic, as well as actions, characters, and objects that are spring-like, or full of spring.
For example:
The character Zebedee from “The Magic Roundabout”, the action of springing out of bed in the morning, or even the retro “Slinky” toy that looks like a spring, but behaves quite differently.
You could also try to give spring to your OCs in some way, or create brand new springing characters that just love to bounce around!
Whatever you decide, let’s all ‘Spring into action’ and start making a Topic entry today!
We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.
Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Springy and the deadline for your entries is (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).
We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.
And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.
Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
