Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly News Letter. There was a great response to last week's topic "On Safari". Well done to everybody who entered. Here are the winning flipnotes.
In our first selection, by Kiriyaa there's wonderful animation of many animals from Africa, accompanied by a haunting melody.
Our next selection, by NioXoiN is a superb pictorial re-creation of the 'On Safari' topic description. It also points out a rather shameful spelling mistake from yours truly. It should have been spelt 'cheetah', right? Sorry guys, my bad. S'up NioXoiN : )
There's an impressive collection of African wildlife in this dynamic MV flipnote by Lily Star☆. We loved the hand drawn style and the inclusion of construction lines.
We laughed out loud at this Safari Epic-Fail, by SuperStar. Very nicely done.
In our last selection this week, by Cosmos★, a giraffe takes serious offence to being looked at by a tourist. Going on Safari can indeed be dangerous! XD
The Roman army was a highly organised, well trained and armoured fighting force that conquered most of the known world in it's day. Their battle tactics and strategies were very sophisticated and years ahead of the competition. The weapons they used, and the armour they wore were cleverly designed and very distinctive. Your flipnotes could be about any aspect of the Roman Army you like. Here are some examples of the Roman Army in popular culture we though your might find interesting: Command and Conquer - The Video Games Movies; Gladiator - (2000) Ben Hur - (1959) The Eagle - (2011)
Rome -The TV series - (2005-2007)
We really love the way your all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the flipnotes you create for them. Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel, and the deadline for your entries is the 1st of April. Keep on flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
This week we've received generous donations from:
Jazz - $20
~★Ⓐ.Kot★~ - $50
Thankyou very much indeed, all donations are very much appreciated.
