Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly News Letter. There was a great response to last week's topic "Emojis and Emoticons". Well done to everybody who entered. Here are the winning Flipnotes.
In our first selection this week, by ☆ KⒶden ☆, a friendly text conversation takes a nasty and unprovoked turn. Checkout the vocal texting sound effects, they're very convincing.
This MV Flipnote by GreenKenko features a variety of emoji faces and the emoji gun, animated with great movement and music.
User animated this delightful character, charming all with her 'OwO' emoticon expression. The vocal sound track has been sped up for an extra cutie effect. It works every time :).

Using the DSi camera, importing to both layers in Flipnote, StarsArts★ has treated us to the Emoji movie official trailer, in Flipnote form. Great job!
"Look out, he's making the wrong face!"

In this entry, Kêithkash★ asks the question, which Emoji do you like best? Well, the bottom line is....we think they're all great!
This Flipnote features LALA®'s profile character. It's a really great character, and just like one of the Emojis, it's a hand! Nice one LaLa :).
Emojis for understanding cats are the focus of this great Flipnote, by Monstrous. Feline emotions such as happiness, anger, curiosity and contentment are brought to life with fantastically broad movement and facial expressions.
A photo session in the year 2025, is guided by emojis, in this intriguing entry by jenjen. What a fascinating idea! Who knows, maybe photographic studios of the future will function like this. :O

This week's topic is Perfume. Perfume is a mixture of fragrant oils and compounds that captures the desirable scent from many different types of plants and animals.
People use perfume to make themselves smell more appealing, or to cover up bad smells, to fragrance their living spaces and a host of other things too. Perfumes range from simple air-fresheners to top of the line scents, which can fetch enormous prices.
How perfume is made, and what it is used for, makes an interesting comparison with how it is marketed. Think of the adverts for the top perfumes from Christian Dior and Jean Paul-Gaultier. They're certainly creative, and seem to market an image, rather than a smell. How do you feel about perfume? A Fashion statement, a waste of money, or just a nice smell?
We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them. Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel, and the deadline for your entries is the 21st of July- (12pm EST / 4pm GMT) Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
We are pleased to announce, that as of now, Weekly Topic winners will receive their prizes in the form of a Weekly Topic Ticket. These tickets should be redeemed for the prizes by the Weekly Topic Winners, and will be found when they log in, and in their creators rooms.
