Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Santa's Elves"
In our first selection this week, by Nek studio, one of Santa's Elves called John, has created an ingenious device for gift delivery on Christmas night. Behold, the present chucker 2000!
Unfortunately however, he's miscalculated with his figures, and things don't quite go according to plan!
There's a real flare to the animation, with great poses and punctuated actions, and the use of a grandiose classical score adds a sense of irony to the humour that made us laugh out loud.

After ending up stranded on the moon, John the Christmas Elf makes his return journey to Earth with similar bravado, in this sequel Flipnote also by Nek studio.
What a character that Elf is! He should be on Oprah!

Designed like a DSi game with shoulder button controls, this next entry by Glin, features one of Santa's Elves printing cardboard boxes for Christmas presents.
What a great idea! Using Flipnote animation for a conceptual video game is not only huge fun, but a great source of creative possibilities.
We really want to play it! Where can we get one?
We greatly enjoyed this delightful Flipnote picture of a Christmas Elf, by JioSeff. He's just as cute as a button, and is beautifully displayed in front of a moon lit background of snowy hills and giant candy canes.

For this entry, LALA® has focused on the impact of technology on the modern world. Where once, there were Christmas Elves making presents and toys, there is now a line of robotic arms doing the same task!
Surely this could never happen at the magical North Pole, but what a great idea for a Flipnote.
We think the Elves should have a trade union of their own, to stop this from happening!
In this entry, by danil, after playing a DSi Santa game, the player is so enamoured with the role, that he spontaneously transforms into Santa Clause himself, to deliver presents in the same madcap, game character styled manner as before, only this time, in the real world!
Although this Flipnote features Santa, and not Santa's Elves, we loved it's creative idea so much, that on this occasion we decided to select it anyway.

In this hysterically funny and equally terrifying Flipnote, by Gatz, we see two elves inspecting Santa's machine for making rag dolls. Unfortunately, one of them has the very bad idea of venturing inside the machine, with catastrophic results.
We chuckled our socks off at this comedy horror genre take on the Christmas Elves story, and the excellent use of Hitchcock movie music builds up the scare factor at just the right moment.

Our month of festive topic specials, culminates this week with the celebration of Christmas itself!
Your Flipnotes can be about absolutely anything to do with this magical time of year; Santa Clause, presents, turkey dinners, cracker pulling, decorations, fairy lights, mistletoe, the Nativity, Carole singing, or anything else you can think of that says Christmas to you.
