And now, here are the winning Flipnotes from last week's topic "Christmas Trees". Well done to everybody who entered.
Our first selection this week, is Mort's Christmas Tree Adventure, by ShadowFox. This tale is told with the use of successively creative extremes, and hilariously unexpected comedy actions. We love the frenzied, out of control way with which Mort does everything in his life, and this is no exception! He's such a great cartoon character, with a wickedly flamboyant style to his animation!
As our second selection this week, we really enjoyed this seasonal tale about acquiring a Christmas tree from マソメンミ. Delightfully drawn and animated with OC protagonists, it skips along merrily and all goes well, ending with the tree successfully in place. But wait! There's been a bit of a casualty along the way. And wrapped from head to foot in bandages, he doesn't look at all happy!
Such flippant hilarity makes a great punch line for a Flipnote, and had us in stitches also. Only our we're stitches of laughter were very pleased to say.

This exceptional animated draw of baby Groot as a Christmas tree, by ♪Michala♪, developers wonderfully as you watch it. The line work and shading is really excellent, and the composition of the tree character and the Christmas decorations finds it's balance beautifully in the frame as the Flipnote plays through.
This heartwarming, Christmas tree, fireside setting, by ♠Poemi♥, has been very nicely animated as a cycling Flipnote. The animated drawing is beautifully detailed and shaded, and brought to life with a multitude of different movements, shadows and lighting effects.
It looks so cozy and we're wondering, is it hot chocolate steaming in that mug? Yummy!
Entering the topic for the first time this week, L.Coconut has made this mesmerising Christmas tree animation their first entry. And sitting at the foot of the tree, the characters of Arlo and Dasher the reindeer look on, entranced by it's twinkling lights.
What an ingenious visualisation of the wonder of Christmas.
Our next fantastic entry, by User, is weird and wacky to say the least! Waking up with a shriek, it's time to put up the Christmas tree! And what better way to do it, than by dropping from a great height, and then having it violently planted on your head!
It's a madcap Christmas for this household this year, that's for sure!

After waiting patiently all through December, Christmas's arrival is announced when Draggie's crown turns into a Santa hat, and it's time to turn on the Christmas tree lights.
What a splendid idea! And beautifully realised in this Flipnote by Nate
This awesome Charlie Brown parody Flipnote, 'A Walnut Christmas', by Nek studio is a collaborative effort. Including the use of the Sudomemo Discord server, it was made with the input and excellent voice acting of User, shadi, CoolJeremy, Zaiden and Nek studio. It's so amazing to see a Flipnote voiced by many different creators together!
Featuring a host of Peanuts based characters, we see how Charlie Brown's Christmas blues are eased, when he and his friends finally find a Christmas tree for their celebrations. It is however, distinctly Snoopy shaped. Poor guy! (Chuckle)
Great Collab home boys!
Our next seasonal topic special is Santa's Elves. These small magical beings, live with Santa Clause at the North Pole, making presents all year round, and tending to Santa's reindeer in preparation for Christmas night. They are known to dress in red or green outfits with pointy ears and pointy hats. (Why not use blue instead of green for their outfits in Flipnote).
Extremely good workers, they are generally very diligent, but can be occasionally mischievous, and only the top Elf gets to accompany Santa on Christmas night to help him deliver the presents all around the world.
There's many different examples of Elves in Movies, games, book illustrations, comics and other media to draw your Elvish inspiration and visual reference from.
Here are some links to fun videos and cartoons featuring Santa's Elves you may want to checkout. There's some great audio tracks that could be useful too.
