Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Crazy Eyes"

"The eye of the beholder is in beauty", when a pupil casts itself into a glorious vista, before returning home to knock its owner off their feet in this conceptual Topic winning animation by Unknown.

Expressively animated with bounce, swing, and impact, and gorgeously hatch shaded, the piece loops fluidly with a transitional arc to bring the wonderfully abstract idea to life.

This Topic winning, crazy eyed portrait by Glin reminded us of the Cubist style of Pablo Picasso.

Its extraordinary distorting gaze is heightened with flickering background shapes, inverting over a character frame, to reveal a further drifting photo element beneath.

What a fabulously ingenious, animated work of art!

Using long-held, eye drawing skills HeHe169 grabbed our full attention with this crash-zooming, mesmeric stare that hypnotizes its victim in a swirl of otherworldly power!

The eye drawing is rendered to perfection, with realistic lashes, catch-lights, and detailed paint brush shading that gives them the depth and intensity they would need.

Those art classes really paid off!

With exceptionally creative eye design, involving diamonds, stars, flames, and crosses, 〒K$〒@♪$〒®M has chosen ‘Star Storm’ and ‘Minetta’ as their two most crazy-eyed characters.

And here they are in spectacular form as Flipnote illustrations.

We think they’re absolutely fantastic!

A post-chat-room nightmare plays out in the crazy, rem-sleeping eyes of a social media enthusiast in this Weekly Topic winner by J64.

We loved the effective use of flash framing, backwards dialogue, and Sudomemo imagery to create the bizarre dream sequence.

The shenanigans of Team Fortress 2 go full-on crazy when a scout loses it completely in this FPS game inspired Topic winner by Grapez.

This Weeks Topic - "Forests"

Forests can be entrancingly beautiful, dark, mysterious, or even dangerous places, especially for the unwary traveler who gets lost inside.

Consisting of trees and underbrush growing over a wide area, forests have many wild animals living both within, and underneath their overhanging branches, as well as rivers, ponds, and a multitude of lush plant life existing in a complex ecosystem all of their own.

Your Flipnotes could focus on forests in any way you choose.

They could be used for the setting for a character based sketch, an animated observation of natural beauty, or a picturesque illustration.

The choice, we entirely 'leaf' to you!
