Our first topic winning Flipnote this week, by Marie-Ange, celebrates hot air ballooning in truly spectacular style!
Opening with an early morning burn, consisting of balloons fashioned after every design imaginable, it then segues into an exciting father and son balloon adventure, with breath-taking views and scenery, and all accompanied by the wonderfully uplifting score, Pepparland.
We found it utterly captivating!
When Glance and Graze’s hot air balloon is punctured by a mysterious harpoon, they’re sent whooshing off into space, in our next topic winner by CosmicGAZ.
But lucky for them, they get a ride back to earth from a previous topic winning Flipnote character, who also found himself among the stars as a consequence of the topic theme.
What a tremendous topic Flipnote-link!
It’s a glorious summer’s day, and guess who’s floating high in the sky?
That’s right, it’s Wacky the hot air balloonist!
Surely nothing could go wrong here!
Although his hapless neighbor Phillip would certainly disagree, as Wacky strikes again, in this topic winning entry by Jake.

King Mayro has created a gorgeously picturesque vista, with animated hot air balloon for this topic winning entry.
Featuring lush forests, snow capped mountains, and a magnificent sunset, it is indeed an awesome setting.
We also very much enjoyed reading the Flipnote description, which as well as describing the scene beautifully, gives intriguing insights into the creator’s inspiration.
Tedehbear’s profile character has a terrible shock when a hot air balloon that looks exactly like them appears in the sky!
Now that’s a real “Yippeee….AAAAA” moment!
For planes in flight, bird strike can be extremely dangerous.
The same is definitely true for turbo-charged hot air balloons, as we see in this hysterical topic winning Flipnote by goodegames.
PS. Don’t miss the bird on frame 14. The balloonist certainly didn’t! “Chuckle”
Godzilla is a gigantic, destructive, prehistoric sea monster, awakened and empowered by nuclear radiation.
First created in Japanese movies of the 1950s, he’s most famous for trampling cities to ruins. But he’s also held in high renown for winning out over a multitude of other colossal beasts, including Mutos, Mothra, Gigan, Mecha Godzilla, King Ghidorah (that’s Monster Zero in the modern movie), and even King Kong.
To put it simply, he’s the undisputed king of the monsters!
Your Flipnotes could be about any aspect of the Godzilla universe you like. From its movies, its history, its epic battles, to where Godzilla lives, how he came to be, or anything else you can think of.
Why not stomp a monster size Flipnote into this week’s topic today!?!
. We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.
Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Godzilla and the deadline for your entries is July 10th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).
We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.
And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.
