Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Anime"

Inspired by the Anime series Attack On Titan, Captain Levi prepares to avenge his fallen comrades with an all out assault on The Beast in this Topic winning Flipnote by matthieu.

Expertly drawn, expressively animated, and laden with effects, the characters overflow with fierceness and intensity, before the fury of battle begins. Which kicks off with a dazzling sequence, featuring highly inventive choreography and editing, as well as musical-cue timing that punctuates the action to an awesome soundtrack.

Don’t miss the next exciting installment, coming soon!

With the use of a posable figure as a visual aid, [Will$ten] has produced this exquisite collection of stage by stage illustrations featuring OC Pixi Divas Britt & Jetta, rendered in the Anime style.

Utilizing double screen size for exceptional detail, the drawings progress all the way from sketch construction through to the color shaded finished character, including a refinement of line that impressed us enormously.

This is Flipnote artistry at its finest!

A classic Anime dragon shares the limelight with its creator, who appears through the form of roto-scoped dance, in this enchanting MV by BookKeeper.

What a fantastic idea to mix together different animation techniques in this way. It's so innovative!

Also, if you want to see the original footage that the Roto-Scoping was made from, check out gabbi’s YouTube channel.

Focusing on the memorable last words of Anime character favorite Porco Galliard, Lucky☆ has created this tragic, and enigmatic Weekly Topic winner.

Interestingly, according to this creator, there’s a lot more to Porco than meets the eye. (See Flipnote description)

In respect of the highly influential Anime artist Mr. Toriyama, who, sadly, recently passed, Söulfïre has animated this tribute MV starring a host of his characters from Dragon Ball Z.

Along with many great likenesses, and colorful weapon FX, we greatly enjoyed the fist and foot flying dust-up that shows these eye-catching warriors in action.

This Weeks Topic - "The Cinema"

As a topic, the cinema could be interpreted in many different ways.

Your Flipnotes could be about the movie houses where films are viewed publicly, any movie or movie genre of your choosing, movie stars and characters, movie audiences, how films are made, how the medium of film works, or any other aspect of the cinema that appeals to you.

Do you enjoy a trip to the cinema?

Then why not treat yourself to popcorn and a flick at a Flipnote cinema of your own creation.

Everyone take your seats, the show’s about to begin!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - The Cinema and the deadline for your entries is May 26th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
